The software has been designed as general product for security cross platforms running at the same time with wireless and wired Internet cameras, Television-cards, capture cards, power-line, and USB cameras. It has web interface with the same appearance and controls on the local and apart pcs.
Users view MPEG-4 coded video and have full management of the software through net that security station can be run with no monitor, keyboard, and mouse attached. Software`s modular composition drastically increases reliability because all components operate as independent programs.
If one unit freezes, other parts keep on running. For example if the `capture` unit freezes, `watchdog` starts again it right away that users don`t notice anything because they are viewing video using a `playback` part. The program makes `repeated` recording that the `hard drive full` situation never happens.
The recording can be constant or it can be initiated by motion, human face detection, or by schedule. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance pc as well as on remote pc through Web interface.
The software does synchronized video playback for event examination from multiple webcams concurrently. Also recorded data can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded data can be encrypted and password protected.
