The program has been designed as general application for security cross platforms running simultaneously with wireless and wired IP cameras, Television-cards, capture cards, power-line, and USB webcams. It has web interface with the similar appearance and controls on the local and apart computers.
Users view MPEG coded video and have complete management of the software using network that surveillance computer can be operated without screen, keyboard, and mouse connected. Program`s modular structure drastically improves reliability because all modules act as independent software.
If one part fails, other modules go on working. For instance if the `record` component freezes, `watchdog` restarts it right away that users don`t notice anything because they are viewing video via a `playback` component. The program performs `repeated` recording that the `hard drive full` situation never occurs.
The recording can be constant or it can be turned on by activity, human face detection, or by timetable. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty easy and performs on the surveillance server as well as on remote server through Web interface.
The program performs synchronized video playback for event examination from many webcams simultaneously. Also recorded files can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded data can be encrypted and password protected.
