The software has been designed as general application for surveillance hybrid platforms functioning at the same time with wireless and wired IP webcams, Television-boards, capture cards, power-line, and USB webcams. It has web interface with the similar appearance and functionality on the local and remote workstations.
Users see MPEG-4 coded picture and have full management of the software through network that surveillance computer can be run with no screen, keyboard, and mouse attached. Software`s modular configuration drastically improves reliability because all modules operate as autonomous software.
If one module stops working, other modules continue working. For example if the `capture` module freezes, `watchdog` starts again it immediately that viewers don`t notice anything because they are viewing picture via a `playback` module. The software does `repeated` recording that the `disk full` situation never occurs.
The recording can be non-stop or it can be turned on by motion, human face recognition, or by calendar. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty easy and performs on the surveillance workstation as well as on remote server via Web interface.
The program performs synchronized video playback for event examination from multiple cameras at the same time. Also recorded files can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded information can be encrypted and password protected.
