The program has been created as general application for security hybrid platforms functioning at the same time with wireless and wired Internet cameras, Television-cards, capture cards, power-line, and USB webcams. It has web interface with the same appearance and controls on the local and apart workstations.
Customers see MPEG-4 coded picture and have full control of the software via network that surveillance station can be run without monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected. Software`s modular structure drastically improves reliability because all parts work as autonomous programs.
If one component freezes, other modules go on working. For example if the `record` component stops working, `watchdog` starts again it immediately that viewers don`t notice anything because they are viewing picture through a `playback` part. The program makes `cyclic` recording that the `disk full` situation never occurs.
The recording can be constant or it can be activated by activity, human face recognition, or by schedule. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance server as well as on distant station via Web interface.
The software does synchronized video playback for event examination from multiple cameras concurrently. Also recorded files can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded files can be encrypted and password protected.
