The software has been designed as general application for surveillance hybrid platforms running at the same time with wireless and wired Internet cameras, TV-cards, capture boards, power-line, and USB cameras. It has web interface with the same look and functionality on the local and distant pcs.
Users watch MPEG-4 coded video and have full management of the software using net that security pc can be operated without screen, keyboard, and mouse attached. Program`s modular structure extensively improves reliability because all modules act as independent applications.
If one module fails, other parts keep on running. For instance if the `record` component freezes, `watchdog` restarts it right away that viewers don`t notice anything because they are watching picture through a `playback` component. The program performs `repeated` recording that the `hard drive full` situation never appears.
The recording can be non-stop or it can be triggered by activity, human face detection, or by schedule. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance station as well as on apart workstation via Web interface.
The program performs synchronized video playback for event analysis from many webcams simultaneously. Also recorded information can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded data can be encrypted and password protected.
