The software has been created as general product for security hybrid platforms running concurrently with wireless and wired IP webcams, Television-cards, capture boards, power-line, and USB webcams. It has web interface with the equal look and functionality on the local and distant workstations.
Users see MPEG coded picture and have complete control of the software using net that surveillance workstation can be run without screen, keyboard, and mouse attached. Software`s modular structure extensively improves reliability because all modules proceed as independent applications.
If one part stops working, other components go on working. For instance if the `record` part stops working, `watchdog` restarts it instantly that viewers don`t notice anything because they are viewing video using a `playback` part. The software performs `cyclic` recording that the `hard drive full` situation never happens.
The recording can be non-stop or it can be triggered by movement, human face detection, or by schedule. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty easy and performs on the surveillance station as well as on apart workstation using Web interface.
The program makes simultaneous video playback for event examination from multiple webcams at the same time. Also recorded data can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded files can be encrypted and password protected.
